'When asked “What thing about humanity surprises you the most?”, the Dalai Lama answered: “Man…. Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived."I recently received the quote above from a friend whom thought that I should probably reduce my time working and try to live for myself. I read the quote again and again. And no matter how I read.... I found that the quote sort of describe my life in the shortest way possible. Wise words from the Dalai Lama.. Come to think of it.. I agree with what he says.. I never could live the life I want and I am sure a lot of people are like me in knowingly live a life where money comes in via right hand and is given out via the left in shortest time possible.. Maybe it's time for us to look at our lives and ask ourselves... What is the definition of good life?
I leave you all with the question for you all to answer.. Till then, live long and prosper...
